	Antiemetic, selective 5-HT antagonist
Action
	Selectively block serotonin 5-HT receptors in the brain., primary effect is in the GI tract No effect on dopamine receptors therefore does not cause extrapyramidal symptoms
Indications
	Management of nausea and vomiting
Contraindications
	Patients with prolonged QT Hypersensitivity
Precaution
	May cause QT prolongation
Side effects
	QT prolongation Bronchospasm Headache, constipation, fatigue, agitation
Administration
Rout: IV/PO/SL	Onset: 10-30 minutes	Peak effect: 1.5 hours	Duration: 8 hours
Adult Dose:
	4 mg IV/IM/PO
Pediatric Dose:
	0.1mg/kg IV/IM
